Horrors of Stalingrad. Horrors of War
Stalingrad was one of the most brutal and bloody battles in the history of the world. At the cost of over 1 million lives Germany had gained nothing and had made itself a brutal enemy, bent on revenge.
Over 16 million citizens were killed during the German occupation of Russian territory including 2 million in Stalingrad itself.
The Germans raised the city to the ground.
